Here are some ideas I have for the new forums! I want to make it easier to get rid of spam and/or inappropriateness.

• Thumb up/down system: Kind of like on the game comments, after -2 the post would be greyed and most likely deleted



• Block list rolls to forums: If a user on your block list posts on the forums, you wouldn't see the post



• Chat rooms!!11!



• Mods: Members with a little more power to help clean the forums up

can we make the deleted post need 3 thumbs down because there are some people that just hate eachother and want to do that to bully them if you think about it

He actually has a point there. Some people would just thumb down people they didn't like. Maybe just grayed out instead of being deleted.

I Like this idea so would any of thee things keep the trolls away. Cuz every time I make a forum almost every time they bully me. Awesome Idea!

Yes, I like this idea, I've always wanted ratings in the forums, and the idea of moderators is a pretty good idea, choose wisely however.

i think the monters should be the higher level people like me and dan

Moderator is basically someone with more power than a standard user, but less power than an admin.
I have a few questions about the Mod idea

Can't think of any other active people that have been here long.

I haven't necessarily been here as long as some of you, but I'm a pretty frequent visitor nowadays. No matter who becomes Mod, that is still a great idea as long as it is not given to an abuser of the power.
As for the other ideas, the +/- thumbs would be good, but I think the Block List in forums would be best suited as optional. It would be too easy to get lost if someone you block says something and you have no idea what's happening.

mods wills be volunteer and then from there voted on.

I agree Rwhite the block list users will still allow you to view the posts, but they'll be hidden by default

I see a mods competition arising. I love competitions. *Claps vigorously.* The ides are amazing, but I also agree with the optional block-list part. Though, I don't have many on my block list... How many people would be able to join the chatroom at one time? Will it be like that beta version we tried out a bit ago? Where we could invite people and such. If so, the inviting screen should have a "Search through your friends" bar. Or, just have the people online and available on it.

Ya, chatrooms will be similar to the beta version, still a lot to do to make it more 'user friendly' but I like those ideas :)

I have another suggestion Dom, in the forum menu, perhaps next to the name of the person who started the forum, the name of the person who last commented on it?

How about u can veiw all the fourms that one person has done based on last post

I mean as the latest poster, I've seen it on forums everywhere.

Can make it that if say u, dom, make a fourm there is a link thats says view all forms made by______
In the blank it would say dom in this case and when u would click on it it would be like when u click on resent or fourm game tabs but just have fourms made by that user

That would probably be more of a profile thing than a forum aspect.

I mean you could see other peoples forms that they have made so you dont have to hunt dont fourms for that one person

about the block list when you post do there likes a dislike for the thumbs up or downs affect our post?

i dont think it should

I think it would be a good idea, because if someone is being rude or spamming, we will have the ability to possibly eliminate their post without the need of reporting.
