In an extension of this but more for the older crowd, how about Dave & Busters? It's like a more adult Chuck E Cheese (in the form that it has food and games and prizes). My friends and I took my friend out there for his 21st birthday party. My only suggestion is that if you're planning to have it after 8, you need one person over the age of 25 for every person under 21 that you invite.

It's not a theme, but if you're really 17, a theme idea besides some very vague suggestion is getting silly. Like for example "masquerade" would be a proper theme. No licensed party or any of that sort.

I'd stick by my idea for Dave and Busters. I highly suggest against someone your age doing a themed party. Themed birthday parties are more for people in grade school.
