As you all know, Para has lost his mod powers in chat only because of a report by Mosta. How fair is this? Most of us have had our issues with Mosta and we still have them. He comes here rarely and then ban people for stupid reasons while Para is here all the time and he very rarely bans people although he kicks trouble makers and bans spammers. No other mods ban people either. Generic is always busy doing something and not really looking at the chat, Metropal comes here at a time where there are not many people, Charles isn't here that much, Veko has disappeared and finally Mosta comes here very rarely.

How come it was fair to remove Para's powers only because of a report while when we reported Mosta, nothing really happened? It doesn't matter if Mosta lost its powers in chat as he never merited to have them but Para shouldn't have lost them. Now, I want all of you to express your opinions on this subject.

I think we need Mosta's side of the argument to see a full picture and make decisions. I'm sure he had a reason to ban Para, but I don't know if it was a good enough reason, as this was pretty harsh.

Side note, I'm not dead. I'm just busy with other things and only hop on every now and then to check forums.

As far as I can tell, what happened with Para was unfair. RETURN HIS POWER!

Essentially, Shawn was spamming and Mosta banned him. Paramore unbanned him and Mosta did it again. The usual name calling they hurl towards Mosta comes about. Mosta contacted Dom to sort it out and then Paramore lost his mod powers.

I actually do recall talking to Paramore about a hypothetical situation back when he first got his mod powers. I had asked him if he would ever take action against his own friends, to which, understandably he said he probably wouldn't and that his main goal would be to stop other spammers.

I did notice that he does do the job that he said he was going to do. Or at least there's less yelling for me to come on and ban someone when Paramore was active on the chat.



Now, I just reported the facts as I recall them. What you make from them is up to you. This is already a loaded argument so I don't really want to get myself involved aside from reporting what I know.

Seriously, I didn't spam.. All the song was in one letter, It even had only 3 lines. I don't get why dom believes mosta for one of his reports, Even though he isn't the favorite mod to most the users, How many times we reported him and no one listened to us? And taking para's powers wasn't fair at all, Mosta reported him because he didn't see him banning someone? Like mosta was even coming here everyday. Once he came here he banned me 4 times... That's all what happened, A pathetic mod like him can't tell para just to ban people if there's no one breaking the rules.. Or he's just trying to make para a new Mosta. :)

Well in that case, Dom needs to return his powers back. He can't be just so unfair to him. Like so many times they reported mosta and no one listened to them, and he just took para's mod powers back for not banning someone, who wasn't even spamming? That sucks.

Let me make this clear. I don't mean to whine to get some mod powers back like someone did before, Dom may as well take all of mine if he wants. Still, I'll type my version of this.
Yeah, Shawn sang that Masta Fappa song which was about only 3 lines. For me, Masta Fappa doesn't mean anything and there was no reason to ban him as I didn't consider 3 lines to be spamming. I can't do anything if someone gets a butt-hurt every time a person types 'Masta Fappa'. Also, I unbanned him because I don't believe that mods should just ban someone the first time they do something wrong, I believe that they should first kick someone, if that person does it again, they should give another kick and finally if that person does it a third time, then they should get banned. This is what I consider to be spamming :
At most, I considered what Shawn did to be the same as posting song lyrics but Mosta considers that as spamming. If he was here everyday then maybe he would have noticed that almost everyone post song lyrics in the general room, so does it mean that all users should get banned? They even play a game where someone post song lyrics and the others have to guess which singer sings that song, should mods ban them for playing? I think that all of the mods have seen how being too rigid with normal users can have negative effects, that's probably why most of you are more lenient now.
Also, some months ago, Mosta literally threatened Ace that he could hack him, when this was reported to Dom, Mosta lost his powers for about 1 or 2 days. Another thing, I don't mean to revive this but as you all know, Charles posted a p*rn link in a forum some time ago, I wonder if he's only a chat mod now? I know that he got a warning but in my case there was not even a warning.
I ban people for real spamming, racism and public 'sexting', it's different than perverted jokes.

I was giving an example of what I consider to be spamming. What Shawn did wasn't called spamming at least not in my opinion.

And I'm trying my very best to come to some sort of armistice but everyone's being so stubborn about it... Whats wrong with all just dropping the internet drama that is plaguing this site and just get along for once

I've personally asked people not to do the 'Masta Fappa' and any form of bullying is against the site rules. Once the new chat comes out I'll figure out if I get new mods, or bring old ones back.

Also @Shawn I've received multiple complaints about you. Mods shouldn't play favorites as well.

As it is now there's no need to have 6 mods in chat. The new rooms will experiment with non users allowed to chat which will need more mods.
