I'm both? I'm a graduate student. I have a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering and going for my PhD.

Now, I agree with what Charles says. I feel that for myself too I speak however the crowd around me is speaking. So I can act more mature around people that themselves are more mature but less around people that start acting less mature.

I tend to do slightly the opposite. When I'm around idiots I use fancier words to make them look even dumber.
