use blocks to set up ambushes sneak attacks
also use your enemy to your advantage by leting two other colours fight while you can assemble a large army, when they've weakened each others forces, strike with your large army and crush the weaklings in seconds leaving the bases vunerable

use your head. don't just charge blindly into battle as soon as you've begun you pay the price of losing lots of troops and becoming very open to attack

keep alot of troops behind that way when you get attacked you have help to escape

wait for a lot of troops and then attack
