Don\'t open up a grave next to one of your powerful pieces until you know any piece that can capture it has been killed or is already out somewhere else on the board.

Your opponent has 8 ghosts. Count them as they appear. Once they and your opponent\'s king are all out, your King can open up graves next to it with impunity.

To win at the end of the game with only a few pieces left, create opposition by making sure you have a piece of equal or greater value one space diagonally from your opponent\'s piece with them to move. You can force them into the corner, at which point they will have to move back next to you and you can pick them off.
