Every battle starts with some time for you to store power of 8 runes by matching lines of at least 3 identical runes. And you should hurry, as after a while you'll have to face hordes of monsters. Summon magical Creatures of the Runes to defend. During every battle, you can use druid help - they can heal your creatures or remove runes from the screen - but after every action they need time to regenerate, so don't waste it.
